One can find various textbooks on international intellectual property on shelves in university bookstores. These books invite readers, mainly students and practitioners, to learn the basics of the international system on the protection of intellectual properties and the implications of that system's agenda on national laws and policies. Most of these books provide an overview of the entire intellectual property system, and none of them provides a brief, yet up-to-date and readable, account of the copyright system only. In 2014, Edward Elgar Publishing published a primer on international copyright law and related rights, translated from Danish and authored by the international expert Professor Jorgen Blomqvist. In Primer: on International Copyright and Related Rights Blomqvist provides an overview of international copyright law in a fascinating and succinct way.
