Design for London uses a mercurial, brokering strategy to compensate for having no real power but lots of ambition. The development of a 'Green Grid' is one of its key objectives and the first stage of this is the East London Green Grid. Individual pieces in the Green Grid jigsaw provide a close and nuanced reading of community and place.
