XIV Triennial Congress of the International Ergonomics Association and 44th Annual Meeting of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society: 'Ergonomics for the new millennium'

This special issue of Ergonomics is comprised of selected plenary addresses presented at IEA 2000/HFES 2000—the Fourteenth Triennial Congress of the International Ergonomics Association and 44th Annual Meeting of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. The Congress was held in San Diego, California, USA from 30 July-4 August 2000 and was hosted by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. This bold and unique undertaking is believed to be the largest and most comprehensive ergonomics conference ever held, with over 2000 scientific and professional proposals submitted for presentation at the Congress.
