Second International Symposium on Granites and Associated Mineralizations (ISGAM II)

The Second International Symposium on Granites and Associated Mineralizations (ISGAM) attracted over 150 scientists from about 20 countries to Salvador, Bahia, former capital of Brazil. The formal meeting was preceded by five field trips to areas where, in most cases, excellent exposures of granitic rock help to understand their formation and evolution. During the five days participants were able to examine, sample and argue about Archean to Early Paleozoic granitoids in the northern, northeastern or eastern Brazil.
