摘要

Study of indoor air quality (IAQ) in a transit micro-environment is important in understanding the occupant's exposure levels to various in-vehicle pollutants, since people spend 5-6% of their daily time commuting, mostly between their workplace and their residence. People are exposed to higher levels of traffic pollutants when they drive in heavy traffic, stand near idling vehicles, and spend time at places near roads having high traffic, especially if the location is downwind of the road. The degree of exposure levels to pollutants is more for people commuting in a bus, compared with the levels of exposure occurring at bus stops or during loading and unloading times. Therefore, it is imperative for one to study the IAQ in public transport buses more closely and predict the hourly in-vehicle pollutant concentrations.
