At the 6th World Water Forum in Marseille, Commissioner for the Environment Janez Potocnik endorsed the Ministerial Declaration on Water along with ministerial delegations from over 100 countries. The Declaration's main aims are to promote access to safe drinking water and sanitation, improve available water resources for food security and energy production, to integrate policies, and to promote cooperation and financing at national and international levels.
