Boeing's chrome-free primer takes to the air

A GOL Airlines 737-800 is Boeing's first application of a chrome-free primer for a single-aisle aeroplane for scheduled service.rnIn response to requests from the Brazilian carrier and other customers, Boeing introduced the chrome-free primer to complement chrome-free exterior decorative paint, which it has usedrnfor more than a decade. In addition to simplified safety monitoring, a chrome-free primer reduces the environmental impact of the paint and stripping process.
