Changes to the feed-in tariffs for solar power from 1 August do not change the "compelling investment case" for renewable energy, says the UK's largest installer of commercial solar, Octopus Investments. Octopus, in partnership with Lightsource Renewable Energy, its in-house solar development com- pany, has deployed around £300 million on large and small solar sites since the start of 2011. The company says it is now building on its solar experience and expanding its investment into the broader renewable energy market. Recently, Octopus announced a partnership with Geothermal Interna- tional to install ground source heat pumps into some of Sainsbury's supermarket sites.
