The European Parliament will vote on the important issue of greenhouse gas emissions and the risk of carbon leakage this week in Brussels. MEPs will look to approve the report of Dutch Green MEP Bas Eickhout who is calling for stricter emissions targets - over and above the current 20/20/20 schedule, and also for more controls against carbon leakage. MEPs will also vote on the pressing concern of spent fuel and radioactive waste, with the report for the European Parliament's Committee on Environment, Food and Public Health drawn up by Slovenian centre right MEP Romana Jordan Cizelj.
