Drop in dietary exposure to dioxins and PCBs, says EFSA

There has been a drop in dietary exposure to dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) over the past decade, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) said as it published a new report on 18 July. Dioxins and PCBs are persistent environmental pollutants which can accumulate in the food chain and over time can have adverse effects on human health notably by causing cancer.
