UK: Food waste deal could stop binning of 100 million meals

Nearly 70 hospitality and food companies have signed up to an agreement which officials said could stop some 100 million edible meals ending up in the bin.The voluntary agreement, launched by the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) last week on behalf of the UK, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland governments, includes leading hotel and pub chains, contract caterers and fast food restaurants.
