Southern California Cities, Counties Push For Variety of Strategies to Recycle Water

Local governments and utilities in Southern California are looking at a range of water recycling strategies to deal with growing demand for water and recurrent strains on their supplies, especially the strains of drought, according to speakers at the WateReuse Symposium in Dallas. One speaker after another over the course of three days at the conference referred to drought as the sharp motivator in California and elsewhere in the U.S. Southwest for capturing wastewater and treating it to drinking-quality standards.
