Cities, Towns Urged to Manage Stormwater Through Plans That Go Beyond Permit Limits

Cities and towns are now encouraged to write plans to manage stormwater that extend beyond the lifetime of their five-year Clean Water Act discharge permits. The Environmental Protection Agency has made it clear that it will support cities, towns and villages and provide them with technical help to craft long-term plans to manage stormwater runoff, one of the nation's most significant sources of water pollution.
