Computer importers discuss recycling plan

Last month, the Australian Information Industry Association (AHA) met with computer importers to discuss a voluntary industry scheme to recycle discarded computers. According to AIIA's general manager of strategy and policy, James McAdam, the meeting with importers was important because of Australia's unique computer market. Australia has few domestic manufacturers which means most computers can be traced back to a narrow band of importers and distributors selling foreign machines.
