Welding Industries of Australia has developed the Austarc 18TC, an E7018-1 type low-hydrogen arc welding electrode, designed specifically for oil and gas, offshore and pipe welding applications. The iron powder electrodes are also suitable for applications relating to structural steel construction, pressure vessels, heavy girders, mining equipment and earth moving plant repair and maintenance.Manufactured using a twin coating extrusion process, the new Austarc 18TC electrode offers good AC arc stability and DC+ arc transfer.
