Dematic has introduced a new integrated robotic layer picking solution, combining an advanced robotic layer picker with software. The layer picking system achieves high throughput rates thanks to FreePick Maximiser software, which cross-matches orders and pairs compatible order profiles. Using algorithms, it can maximise "free pick" opportunities - where the picks required to fulfil one or more orders in turn leaves behind the stock required for another order.
