Taking sustainability up a level

The latest edition of Sustainable Engineering Australia illustrates a heightened level of activity around driving sustainability in buildings. The City of Sydney has signed a heads of agreement with Origin subsidiary Cogent Energy to build a trigeneration energy network throughout the city. This is the most significant city-wide effort in Australia to date to reduce carbon emis sion by 70% before 2030. $100 million is being invested, targeting both public and private buildings in four different precincts.
