State Bid Limit Did Not Cover All Contract Alternatives

Acontractor was not disqualified from a state school construction contract because the total of its base bid and all the bidding alternatives requested by a school board exceeded its state bid limit, a New Jersey court has ruled. It noted that the school board only chose some of the alternative bid items and these items did not push the contractor's total bid over its contractual limit.
