If asphalt contractors had their way, they would use large amounts of recy-cled pavement to stretch state budgets, decrease U.S. dependence on foreign oil, cut costs and increase profits. But a lack of technical performance knowledge about reclaimed asphalt pavement is holding back its wholesale use.
