Feds Clamp Down on Developer Of Large Kansas City Project

Federal regulators have cited a 1,200-acre housing development in suburban Kansas City for failing to protect against stormwater runoff. The Environmental Protection agency acted under a national effort to reduce runoff from construction sites. Responding to a complaint, EPA inspected the site and ordered immediate action by Cooper Land Development Inc., Rogers, Ark., to minimize sediment-laden runoff.
