The university engaged a professional consultant to develop a feasibility study relative to the UAB District Steam System. A definitive scope of work will be provided to the three (3) top-ranked ENGDES and three (3) top-ranked ENDEV firms at the time the RFP's are issued. The Project will consist of engineering design and energy developer services related to design, design/build, design/build/ lease, design/build/operate or other viable concepts for the UAB District Steam System program. The estimated capital cost for this program is in the range of $90-100,000,000. The university encourages minority participation of 10% minimum for ENGDES and ENDEV firms providing services in this program.
