Book: Focus on Infrastructure In Designing Smarter Cities

Four years after helping to push the Envision infrastructure sustainability rating tool, a Harvard University graduate school of design program has published a guidebook for municipalities in how to integrate the approach into urban planning. Titled "Planning Sustainable Cities: An Infrastructure-Based Approach," the book advises on blending individual project sustainability into a seamless network Released earlier this month by Harvard's Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure, the guide focuses on infrastructure system performance and how to leverage synergies among buildings and other assets to reduce demands on infrastructure.
