The real-world consequences of the U.S. pulling out of the Paris climate agreement are still being sorted out as states, cities, companies and other countries have said they will step up their implementation of the accord. The Associated General Contractors said it was still trying to understand the implications of President Trump's June 1 decision to withdraw from the agreement. The American Institute of Architects said in a statement that it opposes Trump's decision because it will put the U.S. behind other countries. Renewableenergy interests said they were disappointed in Trump's announcement but that development of solar and wind energy will not slow down.
