Construction starts in the Kansas City metro area are expected to decrease 25.2% in 2019, to $5.2 billion, according to Dodge Data & Analytics. The residential market will undergo a 13% drop, while non-residential is expected to fall 33.9%, Dodge says. Construction in the warehouse, hotel and multifamily sectors will see the greatest decreases, while single-family housing will see a slight increase.
