Water supply systems in industrial, commercial, and dwelling buildings are usually equipped with constant speed pumps that give approximately constant pressure while the water flow variations exist. Most of the pumps have noticeable pressure sur- pluses. All that leads to extra energy consumption, and in some cases to increased water and heat leakages.
