Lend Lease Awarded the Duke University West Campus Steam Plant Renewal and Conversion Project

2011 MAY 4 - (VerticalNews.com) -- Lend Lease, through its legacy Bovis LendrnLease business, has been awarded Duke University's West Campus Steam Plant Renewal andrnConversion project. The original West Campus Steam Plant was constructed in 1929, and hasrnundergone various modifications. This project consists of removal of three existing coal-firedrnboilers and replacing with new boilers that will allow Duke to burn either natural gas or oil,rnalong with controls, electrical and fire protection upgrades throughout the facility. All existingrncoal handling equipment and associated facilities will be removed, exposing the original brickrnstructure which will be restored. The project will be phased to maintain existing operations withrnno impact to steam delivery.
