Considering building energy from environmental perspective

摘要

Building provides a living and working environment for human. As people spend more than 80% of their time indoors, indoor environmental quality should attract equivalent attention during designing and evaluating a building. Although buildings account for 1/4-1/3 primary energy cost which has direct influence on climate changes, evaluation of building performance only based on energy aspect is inadequate.
