Local media has reported that the last operator, HT Mostar, isnnow able to fulfil the technical pre-requisites for fixed telephonynnumber portability. The news follows the failure of operators to meetnseveral fixed and mobile portability deadlines set by the regulator,nthe Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK). Mobile numbernportability services are yet to be introduced. BMI would welcomenthe introduction of number portability as a market development thatnwill increase competition between operators and therefore increasendynamism in a market that continues to lack growth and innovation.
