CPW-fed bow-tie slot antenna for ultra-wideband communications

摘要

A modified coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed bow-tie slot antenna is proposed to have a wider impedance bandwidth than that of the conventional CPW-fed bow-tie slot antenna. The antenna structure remains simple and has better impedance matching for ultra-wideband communications obtained through the adjustment of bow-tie flare angle and stem width. The in-band antenna gains varied from 3.5 to 7.1 dBi and broadside bidirectional radiation patterns are measured and presented.
