An Analysis on the Critical Phenomena in CSMA/CD Network Traffic Model by Computer Simulations

摘要

This paper considers a network with CSMA/CD access and shows by computer simulation that phase transitions can accompany critical phenomena in the traffic flowing in the media. It is also shown that the relation between the buffer size that maximizes the network throughput and the back-off limit can be approximately formulated.
