Multiple Output Low Noise Dual Synchronous Controller Simplifies Portable Power Supplies

The LTC1538-AUX contains dual fixed frequency synchronous DC/DC controllers and an auxiliary linear regulator controller for use in portable applications requiring multiple supplies such as 3.3V, 5V and 12V. Each controller drives two N-channel MOSFETs synchronously to obtain greater than 90% efficiency over a wide range of load currents. The 5V, 20mA standby regulator is available at all times, providing power for memory and system monitoring circuitry during shutdown. Programmable fixed frequency can be set at up to 400kHz. Quiescent current is 320μA.
