Mr. M Gandhi, 62, is the President (Marketing) of Universal Cables Ltd, a M P Birla group company, premier manufacturer of Cables and Capacitors in India with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 accreditation for manufacture of cables. Universal's products are positioned as the premium category with popular UNISTAR brand name, which enjoys very high reputation in the market due to excellent quality, total service and guarantee for high performance. Mr. Gandhi has attained his current position after having passed through different stages of his checkered career with prominent responsibility for the company over the years and has been instrumental for the brand's sustainable presence in the market. After completing graduation in Science from Punjab University in 1961 he did crash courses on Rubber Technology and PG diploma in Business Management in 1965. Following these, Mr. Gandhi started his career in the Production Department of Goodyear Tyres Ltd and after a couple of years he joined Universal Cables. He has 20 years experience in manufacturing of cables out of a total experience of 36 years in various capacities with Universal. Combining academic and applied work in his career, Mr. Gandhi's achievement was recognized by the Company and was given him higher assignment for heading the Marketing Division as President.
