Instrumentation and controls for coal fired thermal Dower plants for effective generation cost control

摘要

Traditionally the focus of instrumentation and controls has been on the boiler and turbo-generator and electrical with low level of automation and instrumentation in other areas. This paper identifies areas where installation of instrumentation and controls can bring about cost reduction in the primary cost components of a coal fired thermal station, viz., coal, fuel oil, water and auxiliary power.
