In introducing its new TERMOPTO - Terminal Sized Optos - Weidmuller has broadened its assortment of products with a family of 60 optocouplers that features a compact design and a compelling price-performance ratio. TERMOPTO modules offer a space-saving electronic alternative to conventional electro-mechanical relays for isolating and adapting signals. No bigger than two-tier terminal blocks, TERMOPTO modules have a design width of just six millimetres, which can reduce the space required in electrical cabinets by as much as 80 %. The modules have an enclosed housing with IP20 rating and reliably separate the input and output sides.
