In programming, one size does not necessarily fit all. Although that thought may offend some people, those who grasp its significance may hold a powerful weapon against their competitors: the ability to more quickly get robust, error-free applications into users' hands. It should surprise nobody that thought processes are as individual as-well-people. What's more, despite the snide comments of their detractors, programmers are people, and their experience, training, and preferences vary. Except in the design of user interfaces, where consistency outweighs all other considerations, forcing different programmers' styles into one mold is a pretty good recipe for errors and wasted time.
