摘要

John street's message at the Heavenly Hall Gospel Temple is strong and upbeat. Just days from the mayoral election on November 4th, the Democratic incumbent urges voters to go on building a greater Philadelphia. Supporters leap up, arms raised, and repeat his mantra to unite. The mayor's confidence is surprising, because most polls show that the race is very close. In spite of a four-to-one Democratic advantage among registered voters in the city, Mr Street leads the Republican, Sam Katz, by a handful of points. And it has recently emerged that his office is being bugged by the FBI.
