GDP in the euro area rose by 0.4% in the fourth quarter. In the currency zone's two Largest economies, Germany and France, GDP was 0.3% higher compared with the previous quarter. Spain's gdp rose by 0.8%. Japan's GDP rose by 0.9% in the fourth quarter, according to a preliminary estimate, twice what had been forecast.
