Among the obvious desires of every self-respecting creator, there is the one that one's work outlive one's existence. But the private and probably most important wish is to be able to end one's days in full activity, still imagining new projects and results. If then destiny, or something in its stead, grants the creator a long, long life and good health, the balance between ars longa and vita brevis will truly be tilted in favour of the lucky mortal. Julius Shulman is one of these fortunate people, at least from what Iremember from the only time we met, at the wedding of Benedikt Taschen and Lauren Weiner in 2005.
