A 4-D Approach to Data Governance

In my consulting practice, i see an increasing demand for data governanceformation, where companies need help setting up enterprise-wide data governance organizations. It's a lot of work to create a comprehensive data governance program. My last column discussed how to get started by avoiding analysis paralysis and using technology as an important enabler. Data governance must be a business-driven program that uses a data governance maturity model to build a strategic roadmap. It needs to gain executive sponsorship and funding, and work from a solid design.
