In early May, officer Steven Schafer snapped this picture of a vacant building conveniently located, for taggers' purposes, in a dead-end alley near railroad tracks. Schafer keeps an eye on this spot since it reflects local gang activity at a school two blocks away. To keep tabs on new members looking to make a name for themselves, officers can manually annotate images in GARI to document taggers' names.
