What is the long‐term clinical significance of anti‐SARS‐CoV‐2‐specific IgG?

We read with great interest the article “Clinical significance of SARS-CoV-2-specific IgG detection with a rapid antibody kit for COVID-19 patients” by Chong et al1 The manuscript discusses the possible implications of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2)-specific Immunoglobulin G (IgG) production and the concomitant positivity in SARS-CoV-2 detection by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in asymptomatic and symptomatic patients. This study raises some interesting questions, and we would like to humbly state a few points about the possible long-term implications of these results.
