Based on the reservoir characteristics and the serious seepage loss of oil displacement fluid in the process of reservoir oil and gas exploitation in Block MJG-60, Ordos Basin, a new type of resin material with nano silicon (ODE) is designed, and a new type of nano silicone gel plugging system suitable for Block MJG-60 is constructed. The plugging rate and filtration volume are used as indexes to investigate the influence of the types of resin materials, the con- tent and properties of nano silicone resin (ODE), and the core length on the plugging ability of resin gel plugging system. It is concluded that the pluggingrate of nano silicone gel plugging system is 98.2% under the same conditions, which is much higher than 74.2% of commercial common resin gel system AB. The filtration capacity of the two resin gel sys- tems is 9.5ml and 16.4ml, respectively. Among the four factors, the content of nano resin is the biggestfactor that can affect the plugging ability of the gel system. When applied to Block MJG-60, the plug- ging ability could reach 98.9%, and the filtration ca-pacity of the gel system is only 7.3ml, which can sig- nificantly improve the plugging ability of the oil field, providing basic data reference for improving working fluid filtration and reservoir plugging.
