The globalincidence ofthyroid cancer (TC)continues to risesharply, mainly dueto theadvent ofadvanced molecular diagnostictechnologies. [1] The 4 major subtypes ofthyroid cancerare papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC),anaplasticthyroid carcinoma, follicular thyroid carcinomaand medullary thyroid carcinoma. [2] PTC is the mostcommon solid tumor in the human endocrinesystem, which occurs inmorethan 90%ofallthyroid malignancies,and theincidence ofPTC has increased rapidly in recent years.
