Evaluation of Economic Vitality of Beijing and Analysis of Influencing Factors—Based on Entropy Method and Grey Correlation Analysis Model

Based on the time series data related to the economic vitality of Beijingfrom 2013 to 2017, a suitable evaluation system for urban economic vitality isestablished from the perspective of economic growth, enterprise vitality,capital capacity and labor quality. The entropy method was used to evaluate theurban economic vitality of Beijing, and the grey correlation analysis was usedto explore the influence of enterprise vitality and the change of urbanresident population on the urban economic vitality. The results show that:First, the economic vitality of Beijing’s urban economy increased year by yearin 2013-2017, and the growth rate increased significantly between 2016 and2017. Second, the grey correlation degree between enterprise vitality andpopulation quantity and urban economic vitality is high, enterprise vitalityincludes the number of enterprise registration and the total enterprise profitson-in-line correlation. In view of the conclusion of the study, it issuggested that various places can promote the economic vitality of the city by enhancingthe vitality of enterprises and attracting the influx of talents.
