Application of the 'lifting and half-clenched fist simulation' gesture method in bedside teaching of Schatzker’s staging of tibial plateau fractures
Fractures of the tibial plateau are one of the most common frac- tures in knee trauma and can be caused by direct or indirect violence, accounting for 1.9% of all fractures in adults. Once the tibial plateau is fractured, damage to the ligaments and meniscus often occurs, and a fracture here can result in uneven forces on the internal and external plateau, which can easily lead to osteoar- thritic changes, resulting in dysfunction or even loss of function of the knee joint.
