Humans can't imagine living without water for a few days. Our body uses water for absorption, digestion, circulation, building tissues, transporting nutrients, carrying away waste, and maintaining body temperature. An average adult consumes about 2 to 3.5 litres of water per day to drink and 10-19 litres of water per day for other purposes. As we know more than 97% of the available water is either salty or polluted therefore it is a need of time to build a device that can produce water more than 2.5 Liter to 3 Liter at least for drinking purpose which is solar still. Various types of solar stills have been experimented in all over the world, but in this review, we have taken only an Indian researcher who works on different designs of solar still. In this paper, our mainaim istoreviewdifferent Indiandesignsof solarstill.
