Speech category, as the category learning of auditory channel, can help individuals quickly identify and judge sound stimuli, which has special survival significance. It includes tone category and syllable category. Both experimental task characteristics and individual characteristics can affect speech category learning results. The research on the neural mechanism of speech category learning mainly involves the division of brain regions and speech category processing. The future research needs to consider enriching and standardizing the materials of speech category learning in the experiment, strengthen the research on the existing ways to influence the effects of speech category learning, and further explore the neural mechanism of speech category learning.
