The Influential Articles and Title Words in the Journal of Korean Neurological Society Publications between the Years 2016 to 2018

The Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society (JKNS) hasbeen recognized as an international scientific journal for morethan 10 years. In 2018, the impact factor (IF) of JKNS announcedby Journal Citation Reports jumped to 1.187, whichwas an increase of 38% compared to the previous year. It isnot only the honor of JKNS but also its obligation to directwhat the journal should do2). It is clear that readers and otheracademic parties interested in the journal are already shiftingfrom regional to international platforms, and the editorialcommittee of JKNS has to reflect on this issue1). In this editorialstudy, the most cited articles in the journal publicationsbetween the years 2016 to 2018 were examined. The six influentialarticles were selected for capturing the academic interestsof international scientific communities. Additionally, weanalyzed the titles of the journal publications between theyears 2016 to 2018 to identify articles that had received moreattention from international readers.
