The formation of the human conscience, citizenship and humaneness is instrumental to the development of a country's future as a society offering maximum opportunities, in which human personality and freedom are respected; the honor, dignity and reputation of each person is valued, and high morals, ethical standards and spiritual values prevail. The main purpose of the article is to define a process for rearing youth through the practices of folk pedagogy in order to foster their spiritual-moral personhood within a well-rounded development. Pedagogical and psychological fundamentals provided the methodological framework of our research. Our research leads us to conclude that the younger generation should be raised in accordance with the experience of folk pedagogy: national traditions, national character, family and environment, true teachers and spiritual support.
