ABSTRACT Music and performing art of the Tai Lue ethnic group in Xishuangbanna, China, is the integrated cultural performance. It displays a combination of the elements of the East and West sides according to globalization. Cultural management was carried out according to the policy of the Chinese government that aimed to promote economic growth and tourism. The objectives of the study thus were (1) to analyze the history and background of the management of Tai Lue traditional music and perform.
